    Great find! Approximate location has been added to the ‘Strange Places’ map. By the look of things, I would guess that the burial site is where the A1 autostrada is being built.

    I wonder what they’ll find out. Granted, the skulls found between the legs is a bit strange, it’s common burial practice in areas that had Roman influence. There was a huge burial found in Norfolk and a number of them were found with their heads between their legs. Found decapitated doesn’t always mean a punishment. It was also done to placate the deceased. Whether death was untimely or burial was delayed, being decapitated was thought to get you to that underworld safely.
